PDF stands for Portable Document Format. It is a file format created by Adobe that enables electronic versions of publications and other documents to be distributed electronically. Adobe provides Adobe Acrobat Reader free of charge for download to be able to view PDF files. You can obtain a free copy of it at the Adobe website.
- My web browser opened the PDF in the browser window. How can I save it to my computer?
Click "File," then "Save As" and find a place to save it to your computer.
- I have Adobe Reader loaded on my computer, but I still cannot view the PDF files. What's wrong?
Some large PDF files may take a few minutes to download, especially if you are viewing them over a dial-up connection. You can manually download the PDF file by right-clicking on the link and selecting either "Save Target As" or "Save Link As" and then saving the file to your computer. You can then attempt to open it from your computer and see if you able to open it.
