Registry Basics- I can't find information about a certain site. Why?
We are continually adding information about sites on a regular basis. If you cannot locate information a site that you know about, please submit it and we will try to add it to the registry as soon as possible.
- How can I submit information about an historic site that I know about?
You can visit the "Add to Registry" section of the website and submit information about an historic site there.
- What is the best way to find information that I am looking for?
A variety of methods exist to help you easily located information that you are looking for. You can browse sites regionally, look through an alphabetical listing of all the sites, or use the search feature of the website to locate information.
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It is a format which is becoming more and more popular on sites and is a format for distributing updates and information about sites. It allows content providers (such as MHSR) to alert their viewers of new posts on their website. You need an RSS reader to view RSS feeds, but the technology will be interegrated into Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 and is also available on other popular browsers. Alternatively, you can download a third-party RSS reader such as RSSReader
or Pluck
to subscribe and read RSS feeds. Additionally, various organizations are incorporating it into their personalized pages such as Yahoo

, and MSN
.
- How can I add an RSS feed to my "My Yahoo!" homepage?
After clicking on the
image, you will be directed to a page to preview the RSS feed. After previewing the information, you will want to click on the "Add to My Yahoo!" button in the upper right hand corner.
- How can I add an RSS feed to my Google homepage?
After clicking on the
image, you will be directed to a page which asks you to select between "Add to Google hompage" or "Add to Google Reader." Click the "Add to Google hompage" and the information should now appear on your Google homepage.

After clicking on the
button you will be taken to a page where you will need to put a checkmark next to the respective feed. It will list the title and description of the feed. After that simply click on "OK" and it will be added to you "My MSN" homepage.
